FLYBE. and BIRMINGHAM CITY FC

FLYBE. and Pemiership club Birmingham FC signed a 3 year sponsorship deal today. The deal worth 6 million pounds over the 3 years comes after the company announced a surge in profits for Q1. FLYBE. also announced that it would be doubling it's BHX - BHD schedule as of the winter timetable in response to added competition.

It's nice to hear that Birmingham City FC are sponsoring FlyBe!!!!!

The way competition is hotting up on FlyBe's routes, and given the fact that they are using the entirely wrong equipment to compete with these guys, will mean that they will shortly need all the financial help they can get. sic. ........

Anyone expect a scramble for some old 737's shortly........?

Question

Tatty Head:

Do you have a source for the information on FlyBE's profitability and BHD-BHX plans that you referred to? I looked on their website but can't find any reference to this.

Thanks!

Doubling the BHD-BHX schedule? Sunny Jim never learns does he?
Reinstating Business class would have been more appropriate. Clearly Mytravel lite are not pitching at the business market with only 2 flights per day originating in BHX. If anything it sounds more like a feed to their other lowcost routes.

Best Western. Don't knock it. BE have a very good commercial department and know how to make money. Besides that, who wants to fly to Aldergrove?

Good news for BE cos I hear that Birmingham City have been guaranteed at least three seasons in the Premiership - autumn, winter and spring!

Hudson,

Not only are Fly Be. com.bollox, squandering there dosh on Girlie Football Teams, they are also squandering it on our Girlies( and some guys) in the priceless form of Flybe.whatever... BASEBALL CAPS !
Not sure its the right colour though (Grey......after ????)
Anyway thought it might have been BLUE... in keeping with the Football team of course; then again perhaps Brown would have been more appropriate, Northern Exposure...............an all !

So ! Still No Sign Of a Payrise Then ?

Just wait for the MyTravel - Aston Villa tie-up.

And with the Villa team having a definite 'no-frills' feel to it thanks to the annual summer exodus, a 'MyAstonVilla lite' rebranding could be very appropriate.
