LEVEL / ANISEC
Regarding the short-haul entity of LEVEL (ANISEC), what are their expansion's plans? It seems strange that a low-cost airline with only 4 aircraft has 2 bases (VIE/AMS)…. Unless they grow massively quickly, how can they compete with EasyJet, LaudaMotion (Ryanair), Eurowings… ?

Are they going to expand beyond these 4 a/c in VIE et 3 in AMS? It's not even a niche as they are competing against both national airlines AND other well established low costs…. Strange...

My sense would be that IAG are dipping their toe in the water to protect their long haul interests in Barcelona in particular, Level is Vueling and Iberia by another name and IMHO is in a holding pattern (excuse the pun) until IAG do or definitively do not make an advancement on Norwegian.
Willie Walsh has said IAG is not interested, I sense that if the Lufthansa group get serious about Norwegian, then IAG make act differently. Apart from Norwegian's general health they do also have a very big order book and a lot of crew ... the Max challenges asnd associated knock on effect in the market may make Norwegian's assets attractive....
..so, until that becomes clear Level will be in a wait and see position , me thinks...

LEVEL is not a subsidiary of Vueling. It is an IAG subsidiary that they don’t seem sure what to do with. It’s main purpose seems to be to punish the misdeeds of various IAG op-co’s. Until recently it didn’t have its own AOC, it now has two, Anisec and OpenSkies/LEVEL France. The Vienna A321s came from AirBerlin the AMS A320s from Vueling and the A330s from IB. Similarlry it has two booking engines, one Iberia, one Vueling. It all feels rushed and temporary.
I think LEVEL is being used to ‘punish’ Vueling for poor operational performance on one hand. On the other, the Vueling pilots union demanded that all pilots are based in Spain, hence the transfer of AMS based aircraft to Anisec.

For the time being, 4 aicraft in VIE (18 destinations) and 3 aircraft in AMS (14 destinations) ….
What are the plans for the 320s/321s for this year and next year? More aircraft? More routes? More bases?
