Tulcea

Tulcea is a rather small airport in eastern Romania, next to the border with Ukraine. In 2014 they had passenger flights with FlyRomania who proved to be a bit unreliable as to whether flights would operate on time (if at all) and eventually went bust after not very long. Driving to Bucharest takes 3h30 but Tulcea is a rural area
Tulcea airport is advertising prominently on anna.aero - the prominence suggests they have paid heavily for the advertisement. I'm wondering if this is a last desperate attempt to get a passenger airline to fly to Tulcea before whoever owns or subsidises the airport decides they have had enough - anyone able to confirm this or have strong first-hand personal knowledge of Tulcea airport ? Any thoughts as to whether Blue Air, Ryanair or Wizzair might decide to open a route to somewhere like London or Milan ?

I doubt it, anyway, Kogălniceanu (Constanța) Airport is just under 2 hours to the south & has a regular flight to Luton via Wizz & a flight to Istanbul via Turkish Airlines. Seasonal flights to various European destinations with Blue Air, Nordica & Tarom.
