Elba
Until the end of the summer 2017 season, Silver Air based in the Czech Republic was flying PSO routes between Elba and the Italian mainland (mainly Pisa, and Milan-Linate)
These routes have all stopped - presumably because the Italian Govt has stopped providing PSO funds. Does anyone know why the PSO backing has ceased or why Silver Air is no longer flying to/from Elba ?

According to the Silver Air Italia website bookings are expected to be reopened from Elba to Milan, Florence and Pisa "in a few months" and Lugano-Elba is confirmed for June-September 2018.
But no clues as to the reason for suspension.

It wouldn't surprise me if it was simply the case that the Italian government is skint. Elba is less than a 10-mile ferry journey from Piombino, which is itself connected to the Italian rail network, so it's not too dissimilar to the Isle of Wight - well, in terms of transport links anyway
I'm a bit surprised there was a PSO operating there in the first place tbh.
