Great addition for STN it has been missing for too long.
Paris would have been one of the original destinations from the "old" airport circa the Air UK base with the Fk27.

They obviously feel it will not dilute the 3x Daily at Luton, they saw off Transavia France, just hope RYR do not respond.

A senior delegation from the Chinese Ministry of Commerce was welcomed at STN yesterday to view progress on STN`s £600m investment programme & learn more about the opportunities that exist for Chinese airline to provide direct long haul services into STN.

Stansted Aviation College was officially opened at a ceremony today & has already welcomed 300 students...
The a/c donated to the College by Inflite is thought to be a WFU Challenger Biz Jet.
Great endeavour by MAG & on site companies & the many educational authorities involved.

Paris
Air UK/KLM UK (can’t remember which) did switch to ORY at one point but I’m not sure it lasted long?
Gill Airways actually operated the flights towards the end of Air UK day’s with AT4 on behalf of Air UK on the Paris route and possibly some other routes of my memory serves me correct.
all of this is of course history...

If FR wanted to respond with a London-Paris route, would they really open Stansted-Beauvais ? Or even Stansted-Vatry ? I just can't see either having much pax demand

LDM/Laudamotion will build a base at STR next year but in terms of a STN service that may cannibalize majority shareholder RYR`s services from STN into the region.

First of the three extra flights by EK over the festive season arrived on schedule this morning operated by B77W in standard FCY config.
Nice to view the new LDM/Laudamotion livery too on an A320 rather than the hybrid BER colours.

Doubt they would do it as no real benefit BUT come Brexit when using ferry / train it might be an option.

Re The Laudamotion new livery...
A/c was OE-LOB A320 operating the morning LDM314/5.
It is I believe the first a/c in the newly adopted Laudamotion livery.
Large red Lauda titles over white with smaller full titles in grey & red stylised flash/arrow on the tail.

Emirates Festive Flights
The first of the extra festive Emirates flights operated today as EK2643/2644. Operated by A6-EPG which is configured 42 Business and 386 Economy.
Loads for this flight are...
EK2643 92 inbound
EK2644 430 outbound
Inbound very low but outbound totally full. The operating aircraft only seats 428 total, this would mean at least 2 babies under 2 where onboard to make the figures make more sense.
Todays daily flight EK33 had 293 on the inbound.
Would have been nice to have seen the two B77W on stand together but alas I could get airside at the time.
