Have Ryanair ceased operating their seasonal STN-DOL route this year?

That would be a shame. Do you know of an alternative?

Well I should imagine the SEN-CFR route makes quite a good alternative as Caen is only 50km/50 minutes from Deauville. Ryanair still serves Dinard of course but that is 170km/2 hours from Caen and 230km/2hrs20min from Deauville.

Now that really is a shame, the opportunity to spend a day on the sands and then "a day at the races" made this a smart weekend getaway.
Not forgetting the Café de Paris in the evening.
C'est la vie.

Ryanair to end their Stansted-Oradea route earlier than previously announce, on 30-May-2018. Until last week, the route was not due to end until late October 2018. The route began on 01-Sep-2017 so has lasted just 10 months

I'm guessing Ryanair need to find a couple of aircraft over the summer to support Laudamotion and this might be one of the consequences. Any ideas on what else is being cut if this is the reason ?

Showing on our internal flight system, so that’s why I’ve put it on. It’s currently at 16,000 feet over Milton Keynes and descending towards Stansted.

For the record...Back in the news, still in initial funding process, now looking to a Q1 2019 launch at the latest...

A333 all economy equipment...STN 3pw Amritsar...STN 3pw Ahmedabad initially...

Eventual North American destinations mentioned using STN as a transit hub...

Pitched entirely at Sub Continent diaspora...

It wasn't a poke at you. I hope they make it onto the runway I've just seen little yet to suggest they will

Thanks for the update though, apologies if you thought I was have a go

Nope...no worries at all...

I should have qualified the original too with my views, being similar to yours...

But good at least to see STN viewed as a market enabler when it comes to some segments of the Sub Continent traffic in the future perhaps.

without wishing to sound negative. Stansted is a high water airport and we are at an economic high tide. When the economic tide goes out it will go out in the order of

LTN/STN
LGW
LHR

it has always been that way and I don't see it changing. Stansted is the only London airport with capacity.

that said there is no sign of the economic tide turning yet.

No mention of LCY or SEN, both at sea level. Perhaps when the tide goes out they will be less affected than those on higher ground...however should there be an economic North Sea surge.....!!! Analogy overdose!!
