Does this mean 'Airline' will be resurrected with some real insider input? It might be filtered to show the more caring side of ez especially at checkin with pax who have genuine problems for being a couple of minutes late.

Is it not amazing? The gushing words she had for EasyJet and how she was so dedicated. How people are the most important asset etc. I think she had the advice to entrepreneurs of "Play to your strengths", "Get to know people" and "Love what you do". Obviously, she didn't love EasyJet, listened to others about more lucrative employed than and showed others her strengths. I reckon she didn't have a quick phone call this morning and got the job. She has been working on this for a few months. So while she had been working telling others to get a move on, not make social calls during work time, give it your all - she has been doing the complete opposite. Isn't it amazing...

Sounds like many pilots I've known over a long career, including myself on various occasions.

Aye, capitalism of the highest order, it is practically expected amongst the big firms. They don't like people hanging around too long at that level and 7 years might even be considered a very long spell...

And the trouble is, that by the time the investment decisions of one CEO come to fruition and can be judged, that CEO will have moved on.
I should also point out that she is moving back to her previous area of business, since she previously ran the Guardian media group.

I wouldn't say it is all down to her, of course, but EasyJet is a much more serious airline and proposition for travelling A <> B than it was seven years ago.
Unlike a certain Big Airline based at Heathrow which is now on a seemingly kamikaze misson as an alternative to EasyJet for travel within Europe.

I think the Low Cost label was always misplaced. It advertised the idea that it was no frills. It was a flying bus. There are no free lunches; nothing free, etc. However, the pax forgot the concept was really about hi profits. To sustain that everything would be cut to the bone within allowable limits. I wonder if the neverland wonderland has worn a bit thin. If the profits are so huge the pax might ask themselves how that can be unless I'm paying too much. And then those who are paying very little must ask how can the profits be so huge if I'm paying peanuts. It is not McDonalds, so how is it done? Someone has to pay; either it is the customer or the workers.
You don't get owt for nowt.
There's high value and there's low cost and they ain't the same thing.
