Historic! SAA engine fire

Hi

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong group, I'm not quite sure where to post it.

Quite some years ago (probably 30 or so) I was SLF on an SAA flight from Cape Town on I think a 747 that had an engine fire (pretty sure it was No. 2 engine) about fifteen minutes out. We returned to the airfield, all handled very well - apart from a bit of drama from some other pax when they realised that the replacement aircraft from Johannesburg was not the same configuration so they could not have the same seats.

I have been looking online to see if I can find anything about this but can't even find a copy of original report in the Argus (I have a hard copy of that).

I was wondering if anyone knew anything? I don't know why it's come to mind at the moment but as I was looking and online I thought I would ask the question.

Thanks!
