Branson Interested in RAF Mildenhall?

At the weekend I was speaking to someone who lives at Mildenhall. Apparently there have been several people interested in using RAF Mildenhall when it closes, there are rumours around the town that one of them is Richard Branson!

Whenever a rumour like this happens it's unbelievable how many times Sir Richard Branson name appears, I would take this rumour with a huge pinch of salt!

Years ago he wanted to buy RAF Alconbury and turn it into a commuter airport but the government stopped it - allegedly.
