BA South African Flights

Anybody any idea why most southbound BA South African flights are taking a routing west of Algerian airspace?

It is adding a lot of extra mileage.

Both tonights JNB flights (BA055 and BA057) routed over Algeria.

It might be that Algeria is not always stable, it might simply be because of winds.
