Altavia and Gill were just names applied to a dormant company before Cello was actually decided on in late 2009. The previous Gill has nothing at all to do with Cello expect a name clash in the early set up days, hence the change to Cello. With Cello being the final name, the Type A application was submitted in early 2010 and the AOC / OL granted in July 2010. Cello became an active UK ltd company in late 2009 with the purchase of the first acft and an operational company in July 2010. I cannot find any other UK company that has made an application and has been granted a UK AOC since then. A couple of possible upgrades from Type B but with smaller aircraft operating history. From the application stage to manuals to acft purchase, granting of AOC / airline set up I can only see Cello has done this.

In the early days of Gill, born in the aftermath of Air Chaos (Ecosse), we would regularly charter their one and only aircraft, a Shed 330 registered G-RNMO (GERONIMO).
When questioned which aircraft may be operating the HUY/AMS/HUY route it would regularly bring smiles to our faces
