Thumbs up Helios - Scheduled Flights to Luton

Just noticed from the London-Luton Airport Website that Helios are to start scheduled services to Luton with effect from November 2002.

There will be 4 flights per week from Larnaca and 1 flight per week from Paphos.

It also states that Helios hope to go daily (to both destinations?) from Summer 2003.

The big question ... will a certain "orange airline" start the services before November? I seem to recall them applying for licences earlier this year! If that happens, will Helios bother?

It must be true as the local Sunday snoozepaper carried the story. I think it has something to do with Cyprus wanting to join the EU and liberalising its airport access for newcomers? Helios getting in there first?
