Norwegian to lease 2 A340 for B787

Norwegian is to lease two A340 from Hifly of Portugal to cover delays in delivery of the Dreamliner allowing them to start New York & Bangkok from OSL & ARN on schedule. I believe Hifly have a number of A340 in white tails.

This should end mischievous talk from SAS about NAS using 30 year old Boeing 767's hopefully the length of lease will justify NAS logo on exterior

I guess from an aviation photographer/spotter point of view it will be more attractive to have these a/c painted with the NORWEGIAN logo and titles.

No you read me right first time, if we're going to have something else plying these route for a yet to be determined timescale, then it needs presence and short of 747 or A380 then the 340-300 will do that, it might go unnoticed at CDG or LHR but at OSL or ARN 340 are not that common and al, the more important at the destination end that needs the brand building.

I guess it will have a few more seats that a 787?
