Paphos Airport (Cyprus)

See link below regarding passengers being called for boarding before inbound flight has even arrived, then held in partially covered cages at the side of the apron for long periods of time. Having been to PFO, I know there are no facilities in these cages, limited seating & no access to toilets. Surely this is not acceptable, especially for elderly/infirm.

Is this legal? Should passengers be treated in this way?

There are many complaints and seems only to be the case for Ryanair & Easyjet flights. Seems to be a tactic to speed up boarding, but does this happen at any other airports? Your thoughts please & possible solutions.
