BA 777 LGW
Just booked to TPA end June returning early July. Seat map for June ob shows usual cofiguation ( 3 class?) with WT starting row 15. Return is row 25 ( 4 class?).. Is this to do with time of year, Friday flight, maintenance on 3 cabin? or is this a new departure the future ? Anyone help?
Many thanks

I would also be interested to know the position is as I have a similar experience.
I am in business class and on the outbound LGW-TPA sector was easily able to reserve seats (row 2), however for the return journey on Friday 24th May the seat maps just don't appear and there was no functionality to reserve seats. After a few attempts I rang BA. They were able . to reserve seats in row 10 and was told that there was nothing further forward which seems to indicate a 4 class aircraft and yet first class seats are not sold

It is not uncommon for BA to use a 4 class aircraft on a 3 class route. BA only use the F seats when the J booked load is over 48. Thats why BA never make available the F seats for prebooking.
In the event the load does go over 48 then BA will seat top tier card holders and there parties in these seats.
BA's S13 TPA 777 Configs
62J/40W/124Y - Day 5 only
48J/24W/203Y - Day 3 & 7
40J/24W/214Y - Days 1, 2, 4 & 6
