IAG Combined Performance

With British Airways delivering a solid performance, and Iberia substantially weaker, Willie claims there will be redundancies among Iberia, do you think there will be a Mixed Fleet Style operation planned for Iberia?

Curious to know what is planned for the future of the group in order to hit group profit of 1.5B by 2015

Expect IAG to expand by merger and acquisition in the coming years. Willie Walsh has declared he wants to add another 5 airlines to the group.

When and where did he say that?

There is a little bit of magic called Google. It wont be difficult to find a number of quotes from WW.

The whole point of IAG is to create a multinational, multi-brand airline group.

The original intentions of IAG are well known and documented, but you won't be seeing IAG buying any more airlines for at least a few years.

WW has made it clear that its appetite to buy more airlines has diminished considerably in recent months because of the current macro-environment and scope to grow at LHR.

I thought it was the dire state of Europe and lack of expansion that was driving the need for more airlines in the group!
