Post New Buzz Services/Routes

Just seen the ads in last weekend's UK papers and am left wondering....

Does this mean new machines, given the number and frequency of the new French destinations, and if so, where are they getting more crew ?

Can't recall seeing any 'Sits Vacant' for Buzz, or any announcements about new equipment on the way.....

And why both MRS and TLN...suits me fine, but they're only 60 km apart serving the same market...

Any ideas/answers, anyone ?

There was an artical on TF1 evening news a week or so ago about Buzz expanding its routes into France, from what I remember it was about some proposed internal routes from Bordeaux and Tolouse to various other French destinations. Sorry I cant be of much help, but my french still isnt great and I just saw the piece on the news in passing without taking the time to concentrate on understanding everything. If your french is good you could try seaching their website, www.TF1.fr they have links.

Regards, SD.

I noticed Buzz serving Toulon as one of their destinations - is that the airport the French navy uses which is in fact in Hyeres or is there another Toulon designated airport in the area?

Good luck to them with this expansion but I consider it a little short sighted to be concentrating on the French market only. Domestic flights are also questionable due to the popularity, cost effectiveness and efficiency of the French rail system, TGV particularly. But we'll see, if they show to be efficient who knows?

I'm not only worried about concentrating on the French market only, I'm also worried about my geography. Are Berlin, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Jerez and Mercia really in France, or was that just one of Napoleon's dreams? Don't write buzz of just yet, Flying Irishman.

TTF....

One and the same...was used for many years by Air Inter (RIP) and then Air Lib to connect through Orly to wherever...route was always frequent with high loadfactors due to relative inaccessabilty of Toulon by road/rail links and the high number of Naval people base/visiting Toulon...now connected by new Autoroute to Marseilles and Nice but TGV not possible without extension of existing lines...

Anyway, original question about possibilty of new crews, anyone...would like to get back in the air on a regular basis but would prefer / need to stay down here, and if BUZZ are hoping to make a permanent move into this market ( which IS potentially huge, TGV et al ) I would not want to miss an opportunity...

Anyone from the company know / allowed to say if there is a French base planned ???

I hate to pour cold water on your hopes, but, as far as we at the coalface know, there are no plans for another base. Added to that, buzz is part of KLMuk so, as things stand at the moment, the positions on offer would be on turbo-props in UK (although they will go in time). Good luck anyway.
