I'm sorry but that is simply the worst livery I have ever seen. It makes Britannias Korean effort look positively slick.. .. .As an aside, driving to Birmingham hospital last weekend I noted a large number of Go adverts on buses and billboards. Out of interst on the way out I counted them. 12.. .. .Anyone seen a BMIBaby advert yet? I'm sure they must be advertising.... .. .Peter.

Thumbs down

It rather sets the tone and gravitas for this new operation, doesn't it?. .. .Kind of appropriate in view of their initial infantile reaction to GO's Prague route, and the decision to start a new base at EMA in general. . .. .WaaaaaWaaaaaWaaaaaa it's not fair!!!

Isn't the tone & gravitas meant to post a profit -currently to keep the company's head above water? Seems that EJ's livery isn't a drawback.. .. .Like the old Ford Scorpio (Granada), it's not ugly from the inside. Mind you, that didn't last long. . .. .Regards. .. .C-Dog

Have to say we could have done better with the paint job. The name however, which I ridiculed to begin with does seem to be catching on. The word within BMI is that everyone is staggered at the response from the public to the airline, almost all the flights are bursting at the seams and they are looking at having 5 aircraft by the end of the year and may have a go with some 321's if the loads hold up. If it will make any money is another question entirely!

I wonder if this aircraft has been leased from GECAS, by any chance?

I think it's better than boarding the giant rolled up copy of The Sun that Ryanair have.

"the rolled up copy of the sun" is no more - its now the Vodafone logojet ( http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=219359 ) Pretty funky looking I think

I recall hearing that this aircraft was BM's first with TCAS, a few years ago and that fact might be loosely tied in to this registration. Maybe it was a bad telephone line when they actually said TCAS on the phone but the man at the CAA put ECAS on the paperwork! . .. .I saw a picture of their livery a few weeks ago and showed it to a friend who thought that the picture was a wind up. I was also hoping that it was a wind up, sadly not!

When someone mentions "Baby!", as in "BMI Baby!", I half expect Austin Powers to emerge...

Hamrah..... .. .It may well have been leased from them , but not specifically for 'baby'. This machine has been seen around LHR in bmi's old colours for a couple of years now.
