Angry Oxford Airport

There have been many rumours going around of late regarding Oxford Airport and the businesses that operate there. Rumours such as the companies are going bust or the airport is shutting down, these rumoura are not true. I have heard that both OAT and Signature have been having problems but they are far from being liquidized. Many would like to see the aiport fail, but they have a long time to wait. The airport and businesses there are changing, but for the better.. .. .PS Just to clear up a misunderstanding OAT and Signature are not owned by a US company, BBA Aviation is actually a British company.

Can i ask why you say 'many would like to see the airport fail'? I am currently in OATS and have no complaints what so ever.

I wonder if BBA ever felt like considering a bid for Upper Heyford, or was there some planning restriction that prevented any move in this direction, like that for Greenham Common?. .. .Small expense for rail extension, just off the motorway, sell Oxford for development, and prevent UH from becoming a car park.. .. .You could do worse than ask Danny! He was much feted(?) there last month, see - http://www.oxfordaviation.co.uk/corporate/services/career/lectures/pprune.htm. .. . . . . . [ 05 March 2002, 13:13: Message edited by: newswatcher ]

No companies going bust or shutting down. The flying training side of the operation is still alive despite going through big changes, which are hopefully are for the better.. .. .MG
