Great airline to travel with. Have done both of the above routes and DUB had full Economy class (A321) and 25 ish people in Business. MAN not as good but they do have Easyjet on the route which charge much lower fares.
At times the difference between Economy and Business on the DUB flights is not that much and I suspect many people use Business in Economy is full.

Swiss are fantastic, I've flown with them many a time to/from BHX, no so good on their sub-contracted Helvetic operated services but Swiss themselves are ultra friendly cabin crews, clean cabins, a good cabin service, I mean really just a pleasure to fly with.
Their Italian routes can be particularly good fares and as far as HKG I had very pleasurable experiences with them also.

I'm with PF, excellent service, my bag got lost, I got a knock on my hotel room the next day, there it was. OK, it was the airport Hilton, but how many other airlines do that - it was not theirr fault anyway, I was too slow getting to baggage reclaim.
Some of the issues mentioned in the rant above are to do with either ZRH airport or government - bear in mind the airport is close to the German border, and there is some politics - GVA does not have a noise fee afaik.
Personally, ZRH is one of my favourite airports, I use it for onward travel by rail, for which it is, naturally, superb.

ZRH is my favourite airport for connecting both air/air and also air/surface or surface/air. It's just so impeccably designed and run, the people who work there are ultra helpful and usually friendly too.
I certainly haven't seen any 'stupid cows in the subway' but what a great idea, it could be an attractive feature, fresh warm milk on tap and the tinkling of Swiss cowbells to accompany the journey. How beautifully Swiss!
Swiss is a good airline, not always the most comfortable seating on some of their longhaul aircraft but I've never had anything other than a good experience with the carrier, and I use them quite often.

And with Swiss one can purchase Duty Frees, anyone remember (non EU) duty frees? ... And pay for said duty frees with accumulated Lufty Miles & More points.
And ..... ZRH has the poshest smoking lounge I have ever seen.

I'd put them on my approved list roughly on a par with BA. I've flown with them to NRT before and they were £250 cheaper than BA and the product was fine. A lot depends if you mind a transfer at ZRH - if you are an aviation enthusiast I wouldn't think it too much of a negative. I've found it (along with AMS) one of the better airports for transferring. If the price is attractive go for it.

I use Swiss reasonably regularly - only short-haul - but I find the service to be more friendly than BA, and even the small sandwich you get is far better than the bag of bird-seed you get with The World's Favourite Airline.
(Small tip - if you're on an RJ100 (LCY routes or MAN-BSL from the UK), and you're carrying more than a wallet, don't sit in a seat under the wings - the overhead lockers are useless.)
