Couldnt believe my eyes today at Zurich Airport!
In these days of safety and security checks. Zurich Airport has built a small viewing area all nicely fenced in, airside at the intersection of 28/16 Runway!!!!
God help anyone having a engine failure or a slight excursion off the runway, people, 2 coaches let alone any FOD from paper or bags blown away.

There's always been a viewing area with a hot dog cart just off the side of 16/34. Not to mention the popular family spot under the final approach of 14 - what would happen if an there was a double engine failure at 1000'?? Or worse - what if somebody on the outside viewing deck over the old terminal pier chucked away a crisp packet???
