The Truth Behind Jet Airways' Sackings

The entire Indian Aviation industry is reeling in shock after Jet Airways announced its intention to fire 1900 employees.

The Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel expressed his sympathies,stating that his heartfelt sympathies lay with the "young men and women who lost their jobs".

What Mr Patel and the Indian Media ( presumably bought off ) have not disclosed is that Mr Patels wife is a Director in the Jet Airways board which means that the minister has a direct personal interest in the airline.

So much for his "heartfelt sympathies" then.A case of a wolf in sheeps clothing ?

Well whats the excuse for the 15000 staff Air India wants to get rid of with unpaid leave?

Well, not to let the facts get in the way of a good rumor, but Jet Airways doesn't seem to know she's on the board of directors:
