Anyone know anything about the proposed operations of Kang Pacific?
If memory serves - they proposed to operate routes in and out of the UK in late 2007 or early 2008.

Well their website has now been updated and now looks more promising that it did before. Hopefully something will come of this operation and EMA will finally get the long-haul service it deserves.

A friend of mine mentioned a few months ago about this airline i think they are based at dubai but i could be wrong he said aircraft type was DC10 and 747S Delta 757s to MAN are now due FEB 04TH hope it doesnt change again

Hopefully something will come of this operation and EMA will finally get the long-haul service it deserves.
Can someone explain to me why, when we reside in a tiny country with most of us less than one 1/2 hours from a long haul airport, NEMA "deserves" to have long haul flights.
I see this sentiment often, and wonder on what it is based.
Look through Europe and few countries have more than one, at most two, airports with significant long haul service. The UK has LHR, LGW, STN, LUT, BHX, MAN, EDI, GLA, all of which host a decent, year round long-haul programme.
Compare in the US, Miami and Ft. Lauderdale; not a disimilar distance as EMA is to BHX. Miami serves long haul and short haul, whilst FLL serves the local community with, generally, domestic traffic...and both make a real success of their core business models.
On the argument that an airport "deserves" long haul, the majors should be queueing at the doors of Doncaster to reward Peel for going to the trouble of setting up a new airport with a 10,000ft runway........but it aint gonna happen !
NEMA will get long haul when there is a business case for it, though carriers will wait for that assessment from their own statisticians rather than wishful thinking on here !

Totally agree with the last post. If nothing else, you need port infrastructure to cope with these flights. Does EMA have the infrastructure to cope?

What aircraft have they sourced or going to source to be able to start their first route on that date? (Which by the way will be Fujairah - Manila)

And in terms of their wide-body aircraft - originally they intended to lease an ex-MYT DC-10, but on their website A300s and B763s are mentioned, as well as A320s and B737s for narrow-body. There seems to be so many different types of aircraft being looked at - is there any further info as to what other aircraft they will be sourcing? I assume these will all be leased as I don't think they have their license yet. Has anyone heard anything about that?

With them supposedly starting operation on the 14th April, is the aircraft confirmed, but actually are they going to start a week on Monday? All news welcome and appreciated.

The EMA part is not confirmed (well dates anyway), because they do have East Midlands, UK on their destinations map, which is encouraging. But the original plan was to start with regional, shorter routes and then when the aircraft are sourced to start such longer routes. But what I find confusing is the wide-variety of aircraft that have or are being mentioned. I they have any intention of starting on the 14th they had better sort aircraft out quick, but one thing I will say is that the whole arrangment and the websaite format etc. looks a lot more promising than UKIA's did at the same stage of introduction.

Subject to any possible delay, services are due to commence MNL-DAC-FJR on Apr 14, twice weekly rotations Day 1/2 and Day 3/4. DAC is a tech stop at this stage.
I believe the MD83 aircraft may be coming from Cambodia, based initially in Philippines and operated by InterIsland Airways. There is also now an A310-300 reported due later that will takeover MNL-FJR (and on to EMA), the MD83 then switching to ISC/regional destinations.

friends i belive they are the are the partners of UKIA owners as they are operating to NEMA on the same routes which ukia wants to fly, what i assume that they have not get their AOC from UAE CAA till todate any idea
