Thanks for info OLNEY 1, which I was not aware of. Nonetheless, even if they are in the right place (niche premium pax to well served destinations) they are in the wrong time.

Angel

As much as it sticks in my throat it appears that I may have been wrong about this being a school project! I see that Lord Razzall (seriously) has declared that he is on the Board of Premjet PLC in the declared House of Lords interests.
Lots of investment experience but zilch in terms of airline.

I'll still eat my hat (not that I wear one) if this gets of the ground.

If this airline does get off of the ground, I will definately be on the first flight from MAN! If it is anything like BA Club it will be excellent using them from MAN istead of having to fly down to LHR!

Noticed that the website now states that flights will commence early 2009. Originally, early SO8 was stated as the launch date. LTN & MAN still showing as proposed base airports.

External factors coming into play methinks.

I think that is version 3.0

The website first wanted to be up in the air at the start of the 08 summer season and then it was moved to this winter and now to next summer.

To be honest, I haven't the dickiest!

Starting an airline during the current economical climate......commercial suicide !!!!

Might as well just burn the money themselves and save the av-gas people a job !!!!

Man of Man......now is probably the best time to start an airline.

Why?

Aircraft, pilots, cabin crew and staff will be cheap, fuel price is falling and, most of all, too much capacity has been taken out of the market - with a bit more ot come over the next few months. So by next year - it will take about 6 months to get up and running - the cycle will be on the upward side of the curve and therefore offers greatest growth opportunities.

Any airline starting now will be taking into account some of the factors that have created the perfect storm for aviation - fuel, exchange rates etc - and therefore they will be be better positioned to take advantage of positive movements once we have 'bottomed out'.

Got any cash spare?

Good on them for restoring the Upper Class service if you will back into Manchester on the holiday routes.
This is certainly an alternative for those with a few spare grand laying under the bed.

Message on their website stating that "the launch of the airline has been delayed, until conditions become more favourable". Hardly a surprise !

Website updated with Management Team identified and a change in aircraft from MD-80 to 80 seat B737. No start-up date yet though.

Looks a lot more professional now and with some of the names mentioned - people in the industry are obviously believing in this product and if it gets off of the ground I will be one to fly with them!

Tell me how you will get four cabin crew serving 80 passengers for a 2 hour flight. Bit of a push!

Done on a trolley...

Qatar airways have a order when you wish policy for their J class which makes quite some chaos throughout the flight as passengers order meals, drinks, duty free etc. Their A346 has 60 business class seats!
