Air Noise in Kent

Hi guys,

Been browsing the internet with hope that I might find out about a sudden increase in the air noise in Kent (West Malling / Ryarsh area).

Lived here for years and had the occassional plane fly over but in the last 2 weeks all of a sudden its gone mad ! Every 10 minutes there seems to be a big commerical / passenger plane flying over. Not been anything in the press so am intrigued to know why.

Checked websites and the webtracker tool but nothing seems to go over this area !

Anyone got any ideas / websites that I can check ?

Thanks

Will have to check but they are every 10 mins and have been all day today. Can't believe it is just one airline ?

West Malling is adjacent to the tracks taken by a/c departing LHR/LGW on DET SID's.
As Detling is only a few miles from West Malling, you are seeing most of the outbound traffic from these airports routing towards the continent.
Other traffic you may be viewing are STN departures routing via DET plus the LCY arrivals and departures...usually Bae RJ's or Fokker 50's.

OK - thanks.

That explains the planes but why now for the first time in years ? Never had this any other time that I have lived here.

Has there been any changes of late ?

No substantial changes that I know of but a/c are sometimes climb restricted due to traffic so this may explain why they are sometimes more noticeable.
I must admit that the traffic over Medway is more or less the same as it has been for the 2 and a bit years I've lived here so I haven't noticed anything particularly different.
If I do find anything out I'll post it here.
