Finally. Looking forward to going through it. I will be going through it before the end of the year so I will come back with some pictures, or you can watch the video I posted (Page 13, Post 250)
Wonder how long it will take to bulldoze (or possibly implode) the old terminal.

Depends if Bossano's 'jobs for the unemployed' (or is it unemployable party members) squad - equipped with hammers and no health and saftey supervision, have anything better to do...

Flying in to GIB this week and out next week - will departures have moved by then? I know the scheduled date for departures to move is 26th Sep but, I can't say I ever really take anything as granted about the new terminal and dates....

New Terminal opens Tomorrow
The Gib Chronicle has said they have confirmed that the new terminal will be fully operational for departures as well as arrivals from tomorrow....Only about 18 months late so not bad....Just a shame it opens as traffic to Gib has started to decline.

The old terminal should be closed now. The last flight has departed, EasyJet flight EZY8904 to London Gatwick.
Unless any diversions, BA491 to London Heathrow should be the first flight to use the departures area in the new terminal.

Well, have now used the new terminal for both Arrivals and Departures. Mostly impressed but slightly sad that my earlier comment of "peas rattling round in a drum" turned out to be true - terminal is clearly way too big for the traffic. Departures is a vast improvement on the old terminal and being able to walk out to plane is a boon - the rather cramped and sometimes chaotic bussing arrangements are consigned to history.
Still seemed to be delays bringing bags in from inbound flight which was all of 150 metres away and, in departures, 9 people manning 1 security lane was a bit strange, including some very careful checking of passports and boarding cards, although I suspect the huge amount of non-EU merchant seaman who are only transiting via LHR may make this necessary. Notwithstanding, the security staff were extremely courteous to all and are a credit.
Calpe Lounge very nice too with a wider selection of drinks and snacks than the old Peninsular Lounge.
Overall, I was impressed - it just needs more flights and pax!

Priority Pass Perhaps.?????
or just BA....
glf
- Club Europe (Business Class) passengers
- Any passengers holding a oneworld Sapphie or Emerald level frequent flyer card (So, in BA that is Silver or Gold, if you are a member of another oneworld airlines frequent flyer programme, then whatever they call their Sapphire and Emerald levels) + one guest also travelling oneworld.
Flying any airline (including BA):
- Payment of £10 (unless it has gone up) to GibAir.
No other access methods, no PP, etc.

Departed from the new terminal for the first time today. Much better than the old one. Viewing Terrace is also great better than the one by the arrivals area as the fences are too high there for me. Like I did with arrivals back in february I will add some links to pictures I took in the new terminal, should be in the next couple of days. Also the current issue of Airliner World has three full pages all about the new terminal if anybody is interested.

Does the horrendous typo on the cover run right through the article?
