The airport will be closed May 14 0000 lcl to May 27th 2400 lcl. The runway will be upgraded to ILS Cat 2 standard, plus various other works. This is meant to prepare the airport for becoming a Ryanair base (with two aircraft stationed there) in June. Ryanair traffic -- a total of around 80 flight pairs -- will be moved to EHEH, combined with other flights , or cancelled. GA traffic (not that there's a lot of it!) will be moved... just anywhere...
I wonder where all this will lead to...!

The problem with NRN is that (depending where you're coming from) it's not the easiest place to get to. They can improve the runway all they want but what they really need is fast and problem free road connections. Had they had this, I think V-Bird may have survived. I used them once (to CPH) but the drive from Maastricht was so cumbersome that I immediately dropped any future plans to use NRN regardless of fares.

With the first plane based will add route to ALC,PMI, AHO and TSF. And with the second plane?

EHEH is EIN which is Eindhoven (in The Netherlands).

I think one of the NRN planes is doing STN so the STN based plane currently flying STN-NRN can fly the enhanced STN-CRL service. So these STN flights, ALC, PMI, Alghero and Treviso should keep the two based aircraft busy

It's time to add a rumour (hey, that's what pprune is meant for!):
Allegedly Magicbird is to base two F50 freighters "really soon".

Personally I think one should be very wary of Dutch airlines ending in "...bird" !
