Zonal Employee Discount (ZED) distance calculator
I am wondering if anybody knows a website for figuring out the distance between city pairs that comes out to the same distance that the airlines themselves use. Until now I have been using Great Circle Mapper. Is it the Great Circle Distance that is used by the airlines, or some other strange mileage?
Recently made a trip where the great circle distance between city pairs was within single digit miles between one zonal fare and another.

The Zed distances are set by agreement. They are not re-calculated for each flight.
