Atlantic Airways

From the Shetland News website
FAROESE airline Atlantic Airways is simplifying its summer service between Shetland and London Stansted.
The changes to its timetable will mean the loss of the Faroe leg of the service and a reduction of weekly flights from three to two.
Earlier this year, Atlantic Airways announced that they were to continue with their Faroe - Shetland - London service in 2007 after a very successful first summer season, this year.
The move to change the schedule for 2007 comes on the back of severe disruption to the service during extended periods of fog at both islands' airports at Sumburgh and Vagar, this summer.
Atlantic Airways will now fly Mondays and Fridays leaving Vagar for London early in the morning, then leaving Stansted at 10.15am arriving at Sumburgh at 11.45am, and leaving Sumburgh again at 12.30pm, arriving in Stansted at 2pm. After that, the plane will return to Vagar Airport.
The service is to run between 25 May and the end of September 2007.
