Rescue Package from FlyBe
It is good to hear that Flybe have stepped in to save the day with regards to honouring EMX bookings and making sure that pax reach their destinations. But have they thought about the now redundant staff?? Could Flybe possibly offer them jobs?
All the best to the EMX staff, my thoughts are with you all.

Another Fuel price Victim - Euromanx
Euromanx have announced that they are to suspend operations as a result of reduced passenger numbers and high fuel prices.
How many airlines is that over the last few weeks?
Good luck to all the crew and staff involved.

Might think twice if i were the Airport Authority before posting writs on a
wet leased aircraft from a company who have no responsibility for landing
fees or handling charges, the tables could end up being turned and the
airport sued for loss of earnings whilst the aircraft is being 'Impounded'!

RE must have known that this was going to happen so why didn't they pull the aicraft out?
They could at least use it instead of having G-CDFF and other carriers on wet lease. Saying that G-CDFF is coming home today, well just two flying visits at least.

Having experianced this sort of the thing before I can understand how a lot of people are feeling at this moment. However, if anyone is interested I currently work for a UK based freight operator who is looking for direct entry captains for the ATP. Requirements are 1500 hours total, 500 of which need to be mulit crew. The type rating would be paid for (So no cash up front) but you would be bonded for 3 years. Anyone interested feel free to PM me.

Not quite correct old chap.
Any debts run up remain with the AIRCRAFT not the operator, consequently the airport authority has every right to slpa a writ on the aeroplane.
Regardless of who may, or may not, buy the Company, the writ remains valid until all debts on that aeroplane are paid.

First of all, my thoughts are with the hard working and loyal staff who have been well and truly shafted.
The AD has not come out smelling of roses on this. Her statement yesterday defies belief considering the outcome today and why did they let HBB take off this morning. I hope they have not left a large landing fees debt.
No doubt JS will make some statement blaming the Govt, competition etc. Anyone or anything but himself.

Interesting report on local TV, apparently Flybe were approached some time ago with a take-over request & have been putting money into EMX until recently.

Apparently Flybe's "generous rescue deal" is being paid for by the Manx taxpayer. This wasn't evident from Flybe's press release. Still, could have been me stranded somewhere so good job everybody.
