Angel Bournemouth

Any news about Bournemouth circulating?
Things seem to have been a bit quiet of late. Any news of further Air Berlin or easyJet expansion? Will any Jet2 flights ever return to Bournemouth? When is the Masterplan gonna be published? What's the deal with Thomsonfly?
Btw cannot for the life of me remember where I heard it but someone said to me late last year that Flybe might look to commence some sort of services from Bournemouth this year.
Need to feel inspired that my local isn't gonna slump this year.

2006 is going to be a year of consolidation for BOH. Passenger numbers should finally reach a million. Re the terminal, there should be an announcement by the end of the year. I am not aware of any new services for this year. However, Ryanair have said that they intend to launch at least one new route per year from now on, so numbers will slowly increase each year.

There are quite a number of new charter routes this summer... all offered by Thomas Cook, Airtours, First Choice, Thomson and even Palmair. As for scheduled front, rest assured the business development team are doing all they can to maintain the growth seen recently. Virgin Global Flyer gave the airport some much needed promotion - not just domestically but globally, so I'm sure interest (from airlines) is at a high point. If easyJet have thier heads screwed on correctly, they will be planning new routes from there - as the success of the GVA flight proved lucrative... for easyJet Switzerland.
