Anyone got any update on how Air Scotland are doing? How is their MAN ops to BCN etc going, what aircraft currently in the fleet and plans for growth?

Cheers

Cool

Ahh yes, Air Scotland.

Are they not the owners of the 757 gate guardian outside the tower at GLA? The length of time that thing has been sat there, only recently with engine intake covers fitted should make for a fine and technically reliable year of ops!

Our 75s have enough tech problems and we fly them everyday. I watch with baited breath.

My info is that they are now a lot more stable under their new owners, and are thinking of purchasing the 757 outright.
Also look out for 1 possibly 2 A320`s on the way for the summer.

Does anyone know anything on the following snippet taken from another forum:

'Sunways Holidays is now using Air Scotland to operate all its flights throughout the year.' Quote from the travel mags.

It goes on to say that they will soon operate flights from Cardiff, Doncaster and Newcastle in future to add to their current flights from Glasgow and Manchester.

And they are pulling out of Edinburgh at the end of April in preference of Manchester.

The Greece Airways B757 is planned to fly Glasgow - Lasham tomorrow for hand back to the leasing company.

What aircraft will they be using for their flights then? Rumours of A319/320's

Seems a very confusing set up
B757 parked up at Glasgow for much of the winter & now summers here,& more flights have been advertised, it's off to Lasham to return to the leasing Co.?
So what operates the MAN-BCN this week then?

Thumbs down

I believe the whole thing may move to be based in MAN. Good luck to them, hope they ditch the crap at the top and keep the good guys. Sadly not many left now. Sad days, what could have been....... Turned into a horrible nightmare!! I and a few ex collegues have several books to write! Anyway it's all over for me now! Thankfully. I stayed from the very beginning until not too long ago. Seen the highs (brief) and the lows (plenty). Time to move on to a proper airline, not this excuse for a company with non existant employee relations. BTW I'm not a "disgruntled former employee" I left of my own accord, could no longer stand what they were doing.
Rant over.

Heard the following; 757 off to Jet2, 2 A319/320 being leased, based at Girona as Greece Airways with Air Scotland name dropped altogether.
We will have to see what happens though

Just read on a Scottish newsgroup that it will be 2 ex Royal Jordanian A320s (very old one's if the c/n is anything to go by)

I think you will find that they are getting older ones than those two.
