Seems a little odd really that not too long ago, the B767 was heading out of the airline with Qantas getting numerous examples at very good rates. Things could have been so much better if the B757 was still playing a major part too, with both aircraft able to fly medium/longhaul routes, common crewing, common ratings and excellent reliability. Many of the substitutes are due to fall over in forward bookings, a trend that is likely to continue with a selection of LC / Charter entering into many of the traditional LH markets, once the domain of the state carriers and the american /canadian protected zones.
