British Airlines

I guess you are correct, maybe I'm just a little patriotic prefering to utilise Great Britain PLC, using a British carrier!

So WHO's AOC regulations are the cabin crew training under and to ? As FLYWHO do not have an AOC I can only presume they are being trained to another operators procedures ??

Apparently still flying in October, but no word on WHO's aircraft/crews will be used.

Also accepting online bookings, but they are asking you to enter credit card details over a non-secure connection! Does it get any more unprofessional?

Strange that FlyWho's website is saying that all sales are fully bonded under an ATOL licence. When you actually check the ATOL licence out on the CAA's website (Go Visit, atol number 6962), they have an authorisation to carry precisely 1500 passengers per year! One hopes that an increase in the size of the licence is required, otherwise it says something about FlyWho's projected passenger numbers.

White A310 anyone?

Sorry but I can't agree about the website, I think it's cheap, uninformative, and unprofessional. It's the online version of an 80's cheap tour operators brochure. As the company is trying to sell the seats onboard it's aircraft there is next to nothing that has any real and substantial information about the aircraft or seats. A few pictures of a tacky cabin mock-up won't cut it. You also get the impression that when you call the reservations line that the people you are speaking to don't have a lot on knowledge of Florida. It is quite obvious there is no real funding behind this venture and as an other poster has said, they are asking potential customers to submit credit card information over an unsecured website and this information is collected at the enquiry stage, before the customer has made a firm booking, very unprofessional.
Not all bad news though!!!!! Although they may be only bonded to carry 1500 passengers a year which obviously won't cover the fuel bill, it doesn't mean that's all they will carry. They may have sold allocations of seats to other tour operators, these seats would be covered by their own ATOL licenses. SAGA pulled out but there may be other tour operators still buying from flywho.
Whoever is doing their marketing needs to step it up a little, around a month to go before the launch, where's the buzz guys?

any news

Does anyone know wether they are going to get off the ground as we now getting into the time where we need to see movement. Adverts on TV are no good if you aint got a product............. Does anyone know if the airline has applied for slots as they are due to commence ops within the next few weeks () and well slots are useful to have, well first an a/c might help as well. Heard it said they had an ex tap 310 but no-one has seen it and surely by now they must be fitting it and painting it for there launch

Just had a letter today

Just got a letter from flywho cancelling my flights to Clearwater/St Petes for 19th October. Letter says they will not now start flying until Spring 2007!! Big panic for us my partner has to be in Tampa on 21st to take the NCLEX exam so we had to just book BA (cost £150 more). Now have 4 hour drive to Gatwick instead of 45 mins to Birmingham as well. Sticking to real airlines from now on

How Many Chances

How many chances does a carrier need.

Lost count of the false dawns on this one.

Reliability nil point.

What is the excuse this time.Let me guess let down with the aircraft again.

One good thing for them is as few outside aviation knew of there plans anyway it will not disapoint to many people.

Perhaps it can be put to bed now.
