Icelanders on the prowl again...

In the past few days, AVION GROUP (Air Atlanta, Excel) purchased Star Alliance in France and FONS (who originally owned Sterling incl. Maersk before selling it to Icelandair and flyME in Sweden) just purchased Lithuanian Airlines.

There's also an Icelandic group that is the largest shareholder in Finnair and wants to buy it from the Finnish government, who is the majority sharehoklder...

Plus there is of course the easyJet stake...

That's not Star Alliance, but rather Star Airlines. Six planes (A320 x4, A330 x2), 900,000 PAX last year.
