what im trying to do is get to las vegas on 9th feb and return on 12th feb... i found a flight from frankfurt to las vegas at a cheaper rate but struggling to get to Frankfurt.

I know the flight isnt operated by lufthansa yet you can still book with bmi (lufthansa dont seem to do any staff deals, where as you can book bmi through a few staff travel places)!!

Help me guys in the know!!!

Should i hold out for the BMI Man-Las Vegas to drop in price???

BMi's transatlantic product is pretty good and worth paying a bit more for. To go via Frankfurt would add several hours to an already long trip (you would likely fly right over Manchester on your way to the Big Pond from FRA). So unless you're on a real tight budget (?) think on.
Good luck
