Question Where's the bmi 76 coming from?

bmi's A330 aircraft which currently serves LAS & Caribbean ex MAN, will undergo mandatory maintenance checks for a period of 12 weeks, between 8th Feb and 18th April.
The good news is we have wet leased a B767 to keep the routes operating as normal as possible. External livery will be Star Alliance branded, internal livery includes bmi curtains, carpets and seat covers.
Anyone know?

Arkefly 767 PH-MCV, currently sick in Banjul! It is sporting a basic black and white scheme, with Arkefly stickers waiting to be peeled off in favour of Starr Aliance ones. The wetlease application with the CAA for this aircraft is actually for 21/4/06-1/4/07, which is an interesting contrast.

It's going to operate Riyadh and Jeddah out of LHR once the maintenance program is finished. Who knows, by 2007 we might have got round to ordering another 330 or two.

I've been told that Cabin crew will be bmi's own. Considering 767's are not in there fleet would this be possible? have they had to send a whole bunch of crew on a conversion course?

Re: Where's the bmi 76 coming from?

G-WWBD was delivered in the washing line "STAR" colours and parked up at Manchester because bmi gambled the company on Bermuda 2 being replaced and lost. It went to SAL in full colours and on return was painted in the even more boring "STAR Alliance" billboard colours.

Obviously not, Skipness. Company still alive and well.

BD was painted in the star livery because each STAR carrier has to have 10% of their fleet in that livery.

The 767 was parked on a remote stand at MAN yesterday in Star Alliance colours. Apparently due to start operations for bmi on Wednesday.
