Re-routing / Cancellation of flights from Maiquetia, Venezuela
Anyone heard about possible re-routing / cancellation of international flights out of Maiquetia?
Appears that the only serviceable road connecting Maiquetia to Caracas (and hence the rest of Venezuela) is out of action - one of the main bridges is on the verge of collapse and the Govt has shut the road - likely to be a permanent closure.
Have seen some reports that it is business as normal at the airport but also some rumours that it won't be long before pax nos take a hit due to difficulties in getting to the airport.
Govt has talked about potential switch of international flights to other Ven airports - although not sure that many carriers would be comfortable with the alternatives.

Hope to talk to some friends in CCS this weekend and will come back - but it looks fairly serious
