BA reducing LGW-FCO

Apparently BA is also reducing its service from LGW to Rome FCO. Are there going to be any further route reductions or cuts from LGW for BA?

London to Rome has a particular problem with Low Fare carrier competition. It is one of the few destinations from London served by both Easyjet and Ryanair. What is more, Ciampino which they serve is closer to the centre than Fiumicino on BA, a reversal of the usual situation. And with BA mainline from Heathrow, the scope for BA from Gatwick becomes squeezed.
