Air Atlantique
Does anybody have any information on the Air Atlantique's BAe ATPs. Apparently 2 of them have been observed at Coventry since mid-October. Where will they be operating???

Not Air Atlantique but Atlantic airlines, seperate companies now. One ATP will be operating from LTN to BRU, GCI and JER for DHL. One for TNT I have been told and a third aircraft on the way possibly.

Atlantic Airlines
Will the ATP of ATLANTIC AIRLINES be replacing the ATR-42 currently doing the LTN-GCI-JER day-stop return.
If so, when will it be taking over??

The Air Atlantique ATR42 (currently leased to Atlantic Airlines) operates Luton-Guernsey whilst an Atlantic Airlines Electra operates Luton-Brussels, both flights being operated on behalf of DHL
The ATP is planned to replace both these aircraft by routing Guernsey-Luton-Brussels

ATP G-MANC
With this aircraft comming out of air livery late october all white, could this be the expected third aircraft for Atlantic Airlines out of the rumoured seven they are due to receive?????.
With the the two ATPs already at Coventry they must be close to start operations with these aircraft?????
When they do start on what routes will they have contracts for or will some aircraft be on a stand by bases like the ATR fleet.

DHL Contract
It does seem a long time before the ATPs come on line the contract to a step backwards this morning back to the forties as the good old GAMRA the Dc3 operated the contract down to the channel islands this morning and it looks like will operate the evening sectors back to Luton at least.
Bring back the Dak all is forgiven.
Was there Atr42 problem this morning that the Dak was brought in??

OSHKOSH GEORGE
To put this in english for the benefit of Oshkosh George
Why was the Air Atlantique (French) Dakota operating the DHL contract today instead of the Air Atlantique (French) Atr 42, which would normally operate on behalf of Alantic (English) Airlines contract which the ATP aircraft of said company will operate some time in the future,
We await the result.

I understand there was a problem with some AOG spares not arriving in time for G-IONA, Atlantic's only freight capable ATR and the Dak was brought in to cover.
It's nice to know that in its 70th year the Dak can still do the job just as well, if a little slower, than a substantially younger ATR!

Thanks for yor comment most normal people would understand the punn.
I know both companies are english it is a play on the words like you should be poulet frete.
It was lost i believe on some people , i do know how the companies came about ,the director of one of these companies resides just up the road.
But lets not get off the reason in the first place, the next forum summed it up, the reason was an A.O.G.problem, for those who do not know the brake down it means, aircraft on the ground so no making of the money.
