Balkan Holidays have regular charters from Stansted, so if it is not a regular visitor, it might have arrived in place of a regular A320?

Has that aircraft got its reversers going before touch-down? Is that advisable? Maybe it bounced?

Probably. Funnily enough, we were talking today about another great Russian a/c the IL62, which used to open 2 buckets (out of the 4) as to came over the hedge here at LGW. Perhaps it's SOP for these a/c.

Cheers,

The Trident could use in flight reverse, which apparently could deliver a descent rate of 10000 fpm, if required

Yes,but all the meals would need to be scraped off the ceiling on landing, and everybody would need an underwear change!

Agree with Chef, this aircraft has been at STN quite a bit over the summer.

Maybe you should venture away from Sat 3 more often

Yup the Tu154's are quite common, I caught this one at STN earlier on in the Summer http://jetphotos.net/viewphoto2.php?id=481753 (P.S. jetphotos.net can trigger pop-ups).
