Hole in Bournemouth's runway

Just heard that BOH's runway was struck by lightning 31 st afternoon, which has created a large hole in it. Anyone know what is the effect on operations?

If this is the case, I would think that the contractors are looking into it! groan.

I thought LHR was the only airport that suffered from strikes.

I heard the TOM malaga flight return last night and the pilot had a conversation with ATC regarding it. It sounds as though there wasn't a hole after all. Where the lightening hit was a small burn and they were concerned that it may crumble with a larger aircraft passing over. So after every 737 movement they were checking the runway.
