Plane delayed as controller sleeps in

A Qantas Boeing 737-800 flight from Perth to Canberra had to circle the airport for 20 minutes because an air traffic controller overslept.

I was on a FR flite before into Reus mid week during the winter months (off peak season) and we had to circle the airport for 30 minutes before cuse the excuse we were given is that the controller was gone home for Tea and we were early!!!
