MyTravel A330

Can somebody maybe tell me why some off Mytravel's A330's are OY registered? Are they on lease from a different company?

Asked around in my company already but nobody knows. Just curious.

There are two MyTravel airlines, one in the UK, and one in Denmark. Sometimes the two fleets swap around a bit, as is seen now when I think there are 2 OY A330s operating for the UK division for the summer.

mark you are correct. we have 4 a330,s oy-vkf never got changed back but is still one of ours used to be g-mojo i think. the other 5th one is from mytravel dk oy-vkg also thats a 330-300 not a 200. oy-vkg is just here for the summer then back to the danes..hope that helps..

Hi,

Basically, there is MyTravel Airways UK serving the UK with 2 B757-200s, 3 A321-200s, 14 A320-200s and 3 A330-200s plus 3 B767-300s currently leased to Monarch and Skyservice.

Then there is MyTravel Airways A/S serving Scandinavia with 4 A320-200s, 5 A321-200s, 3 A330-300s and 1 A330-200.

During the Summer season, there is a fleet swap with some of the A/S A330s joining the UK fleet to supplement the long haul programme and during the Winter, some of the UK A330-200s supplement the Scandinavian fleet during the Hajj period.

Currently flying in the UK is A330-200; OY-VFK and A330-300; OY-VKG.

Viking is the ATC Callsign of MyTravel Airways A/S.
Kestrel is the ATC Callsign of MyTravel Airways UK.

OY-VKF was G-CSJS. Both OY-VKF and OY-VKG will return to MyTravel Airways A/S on 01 November 2005.

On 01 Decemeber 2005 A330-300's OY-VKH and OY-VKI will be leased to MyTravel Airways UK to help with Hadj operations for Garuda.

The 767-300 that was 'leased' to Monarch, G-DIMB will not be returning to MyTravel anytime soon, it now owned by Monarch Airlines Ltd.

G-MOJO did not become OY-VKF. It was changed to the “flagship” registration G-OMYT as part of the rebrand to MyTravel (Go MYT).

B767 G-DIMB is not owned by Monarch, it is on a lease to them for an initial 3 year term.

As Mr @ Spotty M says, G-DIMB is not owned by MyTravel or Monarch, but by a third party leaser.
