BA Citiexpress @ MAN
No it's downsizing. The RJ100's are off to Edinburgh, Inverness & IOM. The 146's are being disposed of and the Embraers and Dash's are staying.
But then there are rumours circulating that perhaps the RJ's are staying now.

Do BACX still plan to start disposing of the Dash's this year? - if so ,what it is likely to happen to the routes currently operated with them such as BHD? - will they go or will they be operated by Embraers?

Too much money has been spent on advertising in and around Belfast on the BHD-MAN route in the last month or two ('£65 City to City'), so it doesn't look like they're winding things down.
The Embraers are already occasional visitors to BHD, so perhaps the phasing out of the Dash8s has already started.

lumour is big BA has expenditure meeting in September. Same time as notice for lease on Dash to be given. Ah-so! If many dollars available then new fleet, sionara Dash. If no investment, Dash will stay but perhaps sionara BACX.

Which of the usual fleet will remain servicing IOM does anyone know?
DH8C's? RJ100's? Was there an RJ80 that sometimes comes in aswell?
Also, what effect will it have for EuroManx on the IOM-MCT route if BACE pull out...

The remaining 8 BACX Dash 8's are slated to commence return to lessor next May (206), G-BRYU/YV being the first 2.
However, no-one has yet confirmed this. If they do go it will be interesting to see what happens to the IOM-MAN route.
The 146's are slated to be grounded from August, but again this isn't yet confirmed. They seem to change their minds like they change their underpants!
Ron, BACX don't have any RJ80's.
If both the 146's and the Dash's go, then BACX will have little or no spare capacity, which means cancellations instead of delays and consequently dissatisfied punters who will go elsewhere.
Amazing marketing move and one you have to view with trepidation if you work for the company.

Are BACX still intent in becoming an all jet fleet? - the reason I'm asking is there is a turboprop out there which would seem to be ideal for their sector length and capacity needs - none other than the Q400! - the very same seems to have been instrumental in Flybe's remarkable turnaround with operation costs said to be no higher than lesserDash's.
There is also the bonus of near jet performance with significantly lower fuel costs.
One wonders if the bean counters have ever considered this option?

Do be serious!! Buying new aircraft requires spending money which is controlled by big BA and they really couldn't care less what BACX does as long as it doesn't cost anything.
Bean counters have tunnel vision and can't see further than the end of their nose so no chance!!
