Finnair to Edinburgh
Finnair announced today that they will launch direct flights between Helsinki and Edinburgh in April 2006. Finnair will use A319 on route.
This new route will feed Finnair's extensive Asian network offering shortest route from Edinburgh and adjacent cities to Asia. Surely the new destination will be popular among Finnish tourists as well.
No information about the number of weekly flights yet. The press release available here

Lets hope its more of a success then Transaeros venture to north eastern europe.
