easyJet to Charter Out Aircraft?

easyJet is to charter its aircraft to the German league side Borussia Dortmund when they play away games in Europe this coming season as part os a sponsorship scheme with the football club.

Has easyJet chartered out aircraft before?

Dortmund finished 7th, did they even qualify for Europe? Be quite funny if they didn't, then easyJet would have made a big PR mistake. Is it really going to be worth that much to U2? Dortmund are in a mess, on the verge of going into liquidation last season.

By chartering aircraft with them, will they make any money on it?

They should have sponsored Luton Town, their home town club who actually won silverware last season!

nickmanl, I totally agree. Luton Town have just agreed a sponsorship deal with Electrolux. There is more chance of easyJet sponsoring Crawley Town, than their home base club as they have shown little added interest in Luton airport recently!

If only big brown bears could attend football matches!

Maybe easyJet are happy with their own team - EasyJet FC who unfortunately I've had the 'pleasure' of playing against. They were a bunch of **** and they played in orange with easyJet written on their tops.

What about easy chartering "IN" a A319 from Swiss EasyJet from the end of this month till October.
This is due if you can believe it, late delivery of aircraft, more like a shortage of crews.
