Thought Air Cordial's AOC was suspended some time back when the A300s finished, and SCY have been using somebody else's since then? A Cypriot operator?

I have also heard on the grapevine that Air Scandic is very short of cash and is about to go under. I hope not as im due to fly on them in the next two weeks.

Might be a reason why they dont have any of there own aircraft anymore? Must be costing them loads this summer to have 6 lease aircraft 3 finnair b752 and 2 viking md's.

How nive of you to start spreading the vicious rumour of a compnay being short of cash knowing full well the implications that can have in this industry even if it were not true

I sincerely hope you are wrong but if not it would be a kind of justice if one of the 'vultures' like yourself was affected and lost your flights.

Air Cordial, whose AOC SCY operated on, was suspended last year when G-TTMC and G-SWJW were retired...

I would suspect that SCY are in perfectly good financial health...JW and CC are a shrewd pair!!!!

I have noticed that there have been serious delays for Air Scandic over the last two weeks. Both the EMA and STN flights have been affected and some sub charters.

Anyone know the reason?

The Viking MD80s haven't been seen at East Mids for a couple of weeks on SCY flights. Since then, SCY flights have been operated by Blue Wings A320, BlueLine MD80, Edelweiss A320, AeroFlight A320, Air Finland B757 & Air Slovakia B757 (plus probably others), mostly with at least a delay of 1-2hours

Dont like to spread anymore gloom but Scandic have the following arrivals into EMA Sat 2 July
CFU STA 0445 ETA 1830
RHO STA 1640 ETA Sun 0430
PMI STA 1915 ETA 2300

This will probably roll through the weekend as it has done the last 2

I hope they look after there delayed pax and treat them better than they do at MAN. Try to find a rep or get any vouchers out of them is almost impossible. When the get a delay the norm seems to be diverting all their phones to voice mail and hiding from the pax.

SCY used an A310 from portugese carrier White on the STN-PMI service yesterday morning.

It had just arrived from another destination for SCY at 0530 as i was arriving for work. The viking MD-80's have not been seen at STN for a few weeks now and the MD-80 with Air Scandic titles has also gone missing

Think we may see the end of them pretty soonish!
