Virgin expansion at Manchester?
I hear rumours that Virgin are looking to expand at Manchester with new destinations to include the Caribbean and potentially Las Vegas.
Any idea when this is likely to take place?
I guess when this does happen the bmi 330's with flock southbound to LHR.

The press release on the Manchester Airport and Virgin websites refers to the upcoming Barbados route which starts later this year.
It then also goes on to say in future they may look to expanding their ops to other parts of the Carribean or other popular routes in America like Las Vegas.
I agree it may be just the excuse BD need to fly south.

From the timetable on Virgin's website it would appear that the Sunday MAN-Orlando flight ceases in mid November, to be replaced by a weekly Barbados, so number of flights remains the same. It also appears that they will be running a couple of extra Orlando flights early in November.
You have to wonder whether Virgin should be looking to add a second flight more regularly on the MAN-Orlando route, as a cursory hunt round their website shows little availability for July 2006 in the weeks before the schools break up, let alone during the holidays themselves.
