easyJet

Hi my name is Lisa and I am a student. Reading your comments I am totally amazed you guys are treated so badly. I always thought of pilots as well paid and respected professionals!! Just shows if you dont work in the industry then you just dont know. I dont know if any one out there can help me. I would like to understand the airline industry better, particularly the low cost no frills airlines. I have a marketing assignment on easyJet to do but feel I dont really have any sight into how the industry operates and guessed if any one does you guys do and its always better to get the real truth about a situation from the people who really know whats going on. I understand the rules, just want an insight to help me how you guys feel about your employers and the political issue affecting the industry.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and I hope to hear from you soon.

Lisa

I think you might open a can of worms here and get people fighting stuff out between themselves.

The best thing to do for marketing info is to contact the airline and ask them to send you a info or student info pack out. When I was doing a marketing alevel Virgin Atlantic sent me one and, this is rather sad, it was packed with some pretty cool stuff inside!

If you want to know pilots wages etc. www.ppjn.com will answer your questions.

There is also a very good book knocking about called something like "No Frills", forget who its by but its widely available and very informative, and up to date. Think all the major UK aviation stores stock it Transiar, Flightstore etc

easyJet have a huge press & media information kit on their website easyjet.com which has loads of information, past press releases & photographs of easyJet. The airline, in common with many no-frills airlines, do not provide a press kit to send to individuals, preferring to keep their website up to date.

Simon Calder's book "No Frills" is a wonderful reference to not only EasyJet, but other no-frills airlines & how the industry operates. There are also numerous books about Southwest Airlines, often referred to as "The Grandfather of Low-Cost Airlines".
